The Crossroads Center for Faith and Work serves women and men of all faiths (and all works), by surfacing the connections and blurring the lines between our faith, spirituality, and deepest values and our day-to-day work as professionals, volunteers, homemakers and family members.
The Center is a clearinghouse for ideas, a meeting place for learners, a haven for reflection and a catalyst for action. Since 1987, Crossroads has hosted hundreds of inspiring speakers, workshops and meetings and been a gathering point for literally thousands of dedicated volunteers. Located just west of Chicago's Loop, the Crossroads Center rests in the tension between personal and professional development, career and community choices, everyday work in soup kitchens and boardrooms, the forces of commerce and justice, and our need to make meaning as well as make money.
The Center is rooted in the Catholic Christian tradition and radically open to the wisdom of other faith traditions. Committed to understanding God's call to create families, workplaces and communities that make life better for all, the Center is a shared exploration of the wisdom of our culture, the stories and symbols of the Christian tradition, and the unique and personal experience of God's grace in our lives.
The Center strives to be inclusive, interactive and entrepreneurial in its efforts to build collaborative relationships with individuals and organizations, to create new knowledge, resources and services for Chicago and the world.
